Coaching splits into in four areas. See below for more information.
For auditions to Drama school we will work at your audition, not how you get through your audition. Drama schools are not looking for great finished actors - what they want to see is the honest full potential of the prospective student. Rather than working on what you think you should do, we will work on and enable what you want to do. Selection of piece and artistic interpretation are led by your choices, as they are as keen to see your opinion as much as your current ability. What we will do is work on giving a clear, relaxed audition which expresses creatively your current thoughts, abilities and desires. That way you leave the audition having offered up your real potential Coaching for an audition or forthcoming role will help give you an independent eye on your work, steering you away from the desire to impress and towards both the construction of a logical interpretation and the means to dramatically deliver that interpretation. Sam has extensively coached actors for both auditions and work in numerous Film, Television and Stage roles. Actors who are currently in a long run or on set have found that one to one coaching can give a healthy input of technique to their work. It is not a full training in Method, but has added important components to established actors in the industry. There is also more specific coaching and feedback on your acting that either, on set or in a run, can assist your creative endeavours. Dependent upon your current work and needs, an individual private program will be tailored to fit your specific creative requirements.
