METHOD ACTING

Method Acting has over the last 9 years become a leading Acting Studio Facility providing an invaluable, vital and thorough environment for the craft of acting. The class empowers both professional and evolving actors in the UK & internationally with techniques centred on the work of Lee Strasberg. Classical techniques have subsequently been introduced to formulate a substantial and robust acting methodology.

Method Acting's dynamic facility is structured to develop your craft. On the next page are some of the jobs that have been secured by members past and present of this intensive acting class. These achievements have been accomplished in some cases from as little as one class to longer work that has engendered a substantial change in the depth of their acting ability, leading to securing major roles. This empowering environment unravels the complex & rewarding process of the actor, increasing your capacity to meet the challenges of both the industry and your creative desires.

SAM RUMBELOW

Sam Rumbelow, who exclusively teaches each session, has over 28 years experience in the industry - having been teaching and coaching for 10 years. Established as the prominent Method practitioner in the UK, his experience in Method, his training, and body of teaching enables him to develop the actor's "instrument", evolving their acting technique - and unlocking their true creative potential. Most recently, he has been reviewed and written about in the national TV, Radio, and Press as well as in the international press in regard to his teaching and collaboration with Gillian Wearing on Self Made, which also reflected Sam's work as a director and creative practicioner outside of his teaching.

Self Made is a unique film formed by his collaboration with Britain's Turner Prize winning artist Gillian Wearing. It has already received critical acclaim in various festivals such as MoMA in New York, The Dublin International Film Festival, SXSW in Texas, and The International Film Festival in Wroclaw, Poland - as well as both the BFI film festival and The Birds Eye here in London.

The Ensemble, formed with regular members of class, is focused on bring new writing alive. As its Artistic Director, Sam has just directed "Trading Faces" which received two Offies awards nominations for Best New Play and Best Actress and a selection of strong theatre reviews which follows on from their critically successful production of "Work" in 2008. The Ensemble are currently developing their forthcoming stage production for 2012.
